From Security To Service by Christopher Titmuss

This talk is somewhat topical as it concerns the self's response to the other.

Christopher Titmuss, a senior Dharma teacher in the West, offers retreats, facilitates pilgrimages and leads Dharma events worldwide. His teachings focus on insight meditation (vipassana), the expansive heart and enquiry into emptiness and liberation.

Poet, photographer and social critic, he is the author of numerous books including Light on Enlightenment, The Mindfulness Manual and Poems from the Edge on Time.

A former Buddhist monk in Thailand and India, he is the founder of the online Mindfulness Training Course. He teaches in Australia, India, Israel, France and Germany every year. Christopher has been teaching annual retreats in India since 1975. He has lived in Totnes, Devon, England since 1982.

Ungan Sweeps The Ground by Tenshin Roshi

Born in Manchester, England, Charles Tenshin Fletcher Roshi came to the United States in 1979 to study at the Zen Center of Los Angeles with founder Taizan Maezumi Roshi. In 1994, Tenshin Roshi received Dharma Transmission (authorization to teach) in the White Plum lineage from Maezumi Roshi, and Inka from Genpo Merzel Roshi in 2006 (Zen Master, final seal of approval). He acted as administrator for many years at ZCLA and is now the primary teacher and abbot at Yokoji-Zen Mountain Center. Tenshin Roshi is one of the few North American teachers officially certified as a Kokusaifukyoshi (Official Foreign Representative), a title appointed in 2009 by the Soto Zen Headquarters in Japan.
